A little Japanese on your Home Screen
Use a Yuzu Dojo widget to notice Japanese between study sessions, and choose the reading support that works for you.

A word on your Home Screen gives you something small to notice between study sessions. Look at the Japanese, think about its meaning, and then check the English.
Add a Yuzu Dojo widget
Open Yuzu Dojo on your iPhone first, then add Yuzu Dojo from the iPhone’s widget gallery. Choose a Home Screen size that is comfortable to read. Lock Screen widgets are also available.
Yuzu Dojo widgets require iOS 17 or later. Widget learning features are included with a Yuzu Dojo subscription. The widget may ask you to open the app or check your subscription when learning content is not available.
Choose the reading support
For a Home Screen widget, touch and hold the widget and choose Edit Widget to see its options. Show romaji adds a reading in Latin letters. You can change this separately from the app’s own reading display settings.
The widget’s update-frequency setting lets you choose how often you would like a different word. iOS controls widget refreshes, so the change may not happen at an exact time.
Open the word when you want more
Tap the widget to open its word in Yuzu Dojo. A quick glance can become a short moment of study when you have time.
